Owned my belt for about 10 years. Has held up well to use, and survived many faires and airline baggage handlers.

I bought this a few years back and am very pleased with the quality. It is heavy duty and one of the better rapier carrier on the market for under 100 bucks! The actual buckles are oval shape not square as pictured, at least on mine but that does not bother me. I had to tie a small peice of leather thong around one of the straps and the sword scabbard to keep it secure, the fit was semi-loose and the scabbard kept slipping but not a big deal. My only real complaint is that the decorative steel plate could have been a fancier shape, like the three forked version. But for those that may be interested it does offer a great space for custom engraving!! Ladies (or gents) this would be a nice gift if you had this done as a personal touch for that someone special! I acid etched mine with a floral motif and plan to swap out all the buckles for some (square) gaudy ones for a more "period look".
