The blade is decent, maybe a little too hard out on the tip, the it holds and edge well, and is almost as fast as a well balanced knife/dagger. However the furniture is not good. Soft wood, bronze plated ZAMAC metal. I am having to rebuild the bottom half. Sheath. It is leather bound wood, that is a good thing. However, it was designed for a blade that is 3" wide, and 22" long. So, my blade flops around in the sheath, and given a half a chance will come out. If you want a Gladius, I would go with one of the two standards rather than this.

I bought the Maximus sword, but I wanted this one. Finally got it, but compared to the other swords by MR (Conan Atlantean and Father) this sword isn't as good as the picture. The detail is lacking, asymmetry in the handle, and the blade gives nearly 1.5 in in the sheath. I'd go with the Maximus sword hands down if you want an exceptional gladius.

This sword is hands down the most beautiful sword I have ever seen. Very authentic NO PLASTIC!!! It has a great feel and pretty light weight. They did a great job sharpening it, and it is SHARP. For what you get, I think it is actually under priced. What a great find!

Wow, love this gladius, the blade and grip is beautifull and the antique look on it is great. Highly recomend this blade for both eagle fans and gladius fans
