I purchased two of these swords and was incredibly   impressed! Considering the poor reviews, I have no issues with my two swords. The feel and balance of these guys are what I have come to enjoy and expect from Windlass Steelcrafts! Very rustic, and deadly. All the fittings are secure and the blade is well tempered. Upon inspection, I noticed that both my blades were Identical with only a couple of nicks in the pommel to tell them apart! No doubt that these Weapons have more than earned a place in my small arsenal of Greek Weapons! I just wish MRL was still able to put an sharp edge on  their licensed products! Gratitude MRL, and look forward to future Greek and Roman Gifts!

Looks good on the wall (w/o plague imo) its not well balanced feels flimsy like it has a threaded weak tang however the pommel is threaded, I wouldn't feel secure hitting anything with this weapon in fear of damaging it. I expected something of better quality for a so called "fully functional" replica, not that I'm going to actually use it but coming from Windlass Steelcrafts I had expected a bit better. All in all like I mentioned earlier it looks good on the wall and that's where its going to stay.

Windlass & Museum Replicas always had a very bad quality control.  Its well known and im thinking of stoping to buy their items.

Just received my Themistocles sword, bought from their canadian distributor.  My copy of the sword make no exception.  The guard is not straight or in line with the blade.  Look very bad on the wall plaque (hooks to hold sword on the plaque was also missing in the box!).  You dont expect this when you pay 200$ + shipping for one sword.  A other cheap and bad looking ‘’wall hanger’’ in my collection.  Again, MRL disapoint me.  I cannot fix this and how much do you think im gonna have to pay if I have to return the box to them ?

Also received factory seconds in the past : Ibelin Sword, Celtic Sword (from The Eagle) & the wooden gladius (my worst).  I’ve been a good customer trough the years.  With these 4 swords, I also bought : Viking Shield, Viking Spear, Spartacus Arena’s & Sica Swords, Spartacus Helmet, Black Prince Sword, Ulfberht Sword, Accolade Templar Sword, Migration Sword, St.Maurice Sword, 300 Spartan Sword, Create your own Sword personalized Sword, Gladiator Movie Gladius, General Maximus Sword, Gondorian Leather Bracers, Powder Horn, Leuterit Sword, Viking King Sword, Robin Hood Sword, Godfrey Sword, and a leather whip.

These items are full small blemish but it can be tolerated.  After all these years and money, I expected more quality from the company… I think im done now, unfortunately.
