section, which shifts 45 degrees at the tip and has a stepped
ricasso section with fullers. The tough, black wooden handle is
sandwiched between a lavishly engraved guard and pommel, plated
in 24-karat gold. The inscription on the cap of the pommel reads, DEX-
TERA DOMINI FECIT VIRTUTEM – The Right Hand of the Lord Hath
Wrought Strength. A four-sided, wooden scabbard, covered in black leather and rich, matching gold-plated
