The Ringmere Axe
This axe is a perfect example of the fierce type of Viking axe, which
would have been used at the battle of Ringmere in 1010AD. The wide
axe head proves to be of lethal size for battle, yet remains a work of art
with deeply etched Viking knot work designs on both sides. The short,
stout handle is stained dark and also elaborately decorated with Viking
