Remembering Vesuvius

Today many people are remembering the events of Mount Vesuvius that destroyed Pompeii in AD 79. It is amazing to know how far we've come in being able to anticipate such natural disasters and therefore evacuate and save many lives. Not that we're perfect in that regard as we're still recovering from the tsunami at Fukushima. Point being, nature will mess you up. Respect it. Learn more about Vesuvius here....
