Pirate Guns

Most of us do not necessarily associate pirate guns with buccaneers. We envisage pirates with cutlasses and small swords wreaking havoc on a burning ship. But, do not be mistaken. Pirate guns and pistols were essential components of their offensive arsenal. The most commonly used was the flintlock pistol, which ticked all boxes for pirate warfare – small, easy to carry, and perfect for close combat. Then there was the multi-barrelled pistol featuring two or four barrels that were designed to fire separately. Volley pistols were an upgrade on the multi-barrelled pistol in that several barrels could be fired simultaneously. Further, there was the pocket pistol that was small and easy to conceal and fired one shot at a time; these were meant to be used only at close range.

Museum Replicas' collection of non-firing replica pirate pistols includes the classic flintlock, a double barrel, and a dueling pistol, among other fantastic options. All items in this selection are artistically appealing. They are fashioned from a range of materials such as antiqued wood, metal, and faux ivory, and each is exquisitely detailed and made with the utmost care and expertise. Browse through the selection and you will find weapons that will impress even the most experienced seadog. Pick one and come aboard matey.
