S.H.I.E.L.D. (Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-enforcement Division) was formed in the 1960’s to counter the technological world threat posed by the radical organization, HYDRA. In the late 90’s, due to the mounting danger of terrorism worldwide, the organization decided to change the acronym of the agency to (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate). Nick Fury and his team of super agents battle these forces and keep the peace throughout the free world.
As the highest-ranking public official of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury has access to the most technologically advanced weaponry of any agency in the western world. One of his weapons of choice is the NF-300 Needle Gun. With a clip capable of holding 300 rounds of a deadly .15 caliber needle with a velocity of 1,000 feet per second, coupled with the gun’s quiet blast, makes this stealthy pistol a formidable weapon for almost any operation.
Designed directly from Marvel artist Jim Steranko’s 1960’s design, this metal pistol has the weight & feel of the real thing. The removable clip holds two AAA batteries, which powers the pistol. A “power-up†button on the side activates the gun, while a blast sound and bright light emanate from the barrel, when the trigger is pulled. A rich hardwood display box, with a glass top emblazoned with the S.H.I.E.L.D. insignia is included.
