The Carlos V Suit of Armor is a full-sized replica suit of 16th-century Spanish armour, reproduced based on the ones that belonged to Charles V and Philip II, which today are a part of the collection of the Real Armeria in Madrid. The armor, each piece being meticulously handcrafted, has been made in polished steel and iron, characterized by exquisitely etched elaborate floral figures etched on the largest part of its surface. Provided with an arabesque fabric gown and sword with a velvet-wrapped hand grip, the armor is atop a solid 22" x 22" wooden platform reinforced with metallic angles. A space in the helm is left open, allowing for ornamental ostrich feathers to be inserted as decoration.
